Terms of Use

The rules for using Credit Khata.

Last updated 15 October 2026

Credit Khata is published by Abdohoo. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What the app is

It is a bookkeeping tool. It records what a shop's customers owe and have paid, so a shopkeeper can keep a credit book without paper. It is not a lender, a payment service, or a debt collector. We do not lend money, hold money, move money, charge interest, or take any part in the debts recorded in it. Everything in a ledger is between the shop and its customer.

Your account

If you record other people's information

Shopkeepers enter details about their customers — names, contact details, and what they owe. If you do that, you are responsible for having a proper basis to record it, for keeping it accurate, and for handling requests from those customers about their own information. Do not record more than your shop actually needs. Do not record government identity numbers, payment card numbers, or anything about a person's health, beliefs or politics.

Content you upload

You can add a logo, a banner, a tagline, a description, social links and free-text notes on ledger entries. Some of that is shown to the customers linked to your shop. You keep ownership of what you upload, and you give us permission to store it and display it to those users so the app can work.

What is not allowed

Do not upload, post or send anything that:

Do not use the app to demand repayment abusively, to threaten a customer, or to shame anyone publicly over a debt.

Reporting content

If you see something in the app that breaks these rules, report it. In the app, open the shop and choose Report. You can also email support@abdohoo.app. Reports reach our moderators, who review them and can remove content, suspend a shop, or close an account. We aim to look at every report within 72 hours, and sooner for anything involving a child, a credible threat, or an immediate risk to someone.

Blocking

A customer can unlink a shop from their account at any time, from the list of accounts in the app. Unlinking ends that connection: the shop's storefront and its notifications stop reaching you. It does not settle a debt, and the shop keeps its own record of your trade.

Enforcement

We can remove content, and suspend or close an account, when these terms are broken. Where it is reasonable we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond first, but we may act immediately when there is a risk to someone's safety or a legal requirement to do so.

Plans and payments

Customers never pay. For shops there are three plans: Free, Pro and Business. Every new shop starts with a month of Pro to try it; after that the shop is on Free unless it pays for Pro or Business.

Daily transaction limits

Each plan records up to a set number of transactions a day for the whole business — every branch and staff login counted together. A transaction is any money record: a credit or payment entry on a customer's account (including sales, and entries made from orders and the other tools), an expense, or a supplier bill or payment. Personal lending and stock movements are not counted, and voiding a transaction does not give its place back. The count starts again at midnight in the shop's own time zone.

The limits today are: Free, 35 transactions a day; Pro, including the first month, 85 transactions a day; Business, no daily limit. We may change these limits; the app always shows the ones that apply to your shop. Once the limit is reached, the app stops new transactions until the next day or until you move to a bigger plan. A payment from a customer is never blocked by the limit, and entries saved offline before the limit was reached still sync.

AI allowances

On Pro, including the first month, the AI features answer up to a set number of requests in any seven days for the whole business: today 30 answers from "Ask your books", 70 item suggestions and 100 entries read from your notes. Only answers that worked are counted; an answer the app already had, or a request that failed, is free. When an allowance is used up, the app says when the next answer is available. We may change these allowances; the app always shows the ones that apply to your shop. Free does not include the AI features.

Fair use on Business

Business has no daily transaction limit and no weekly AI allowance. It is meant for one real business — its own shops, branches and staff. We may limit or pause the AI features, automatic messages or new transactions for an account whose use is automated, shared with or resold to other businesses, or far beyond what a shop of that kind needs, so the service stays fast and affordable for everyone. Where it is reasonable we will contact you first and explain why.

Automatic SMS and WhatsApp messages start from the 1st of the month after your Business plan starts, which gives time to set up sending for your shop. They go only to your own customers, about their own accounts, and stop for any customer who asks not to be messaged. Message delivery depends on mobile networks and on WhatsApp, which we do not control.

Paying for Pro or Business

Pro and Business are paid in advance — Pro for a month or a year, Business for a month — at the price shown in the app for your country, by one of the payment methods listed there. Business costs USD 89 a month, unless the app shows you a price in your own currency. A plan bought this way starts when we confirm your payment, and it does not renew by itself. Where our resellers operate, you can also buy a Pro key (for a month or a year) or a Business key (for a month) from one of them, at the price you agree with them, and redeem it in the counter app. When Business ends, any Pro time you still have carries on; when Pro ends, the shop moves to Free. Either way nothing you have recorded is deleted, and everything you already added keeps working. Questions about a payment go to support@abdohoo.app or Help & support in the app.

In the Android app from Google Play, Pro and Business are subscriptions sold and billed by Google Play — Pro monthly or yearly, Business monthly — at the price Google Play shows you. They renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time in the Play Store (Payments & subscriptions); the plan then runs to the end of the period already paid. A first-time Pro subscriber may get a free trial, as Google Play shows before you subscribe; you are not charged if you cancel before it ends. Business has no free trial. Refunds of Google Play purchases follow Google Play's refund policies. A plan bought any of these ways covers your whole business, in every app.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time — in the app, or at https://creditkhataapp.com/legal/delete-account. What is deleted and what is kept is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it is provided as-is. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — shopkeepers can export their customer list from the app at any time. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters we will update the date above and tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
